April 12 “Onshore winds go away!”

Unless you’re good at aerials like 2% of surfers in the water here in Guiones then you’re not really digging the onshore winds early mornings.  Super hot day here in Playa Guiones. We could use those evening showers a little earlier in the day to cool things off. Waves are running chest high and soft today. Look for a slight increase into tomorrow and hopefully a good looking Thursday. In case you aren’t aware of a live surf cam here in Guiones you can bookmark www.nosarasurfcam.com . It’s a camera showing living footage from the main break in playa Guiones. We are proud to have our daily photos displayed on their site.

Tico Photographer Alfredo Barquero surfed all morning while  Matt Vaughan was busy taking photos up north. Catch up with Matt at Rising Sun Cafe in KayaSol to see your North End photos. I only shot a few for the report of South Guiones below because I am trying to finish a few video projects. Hopefully Alfredo will be back in the saddle tomorrow with a complete gallery of South End surfing. All photos are now online in our smugmug page. Click “find your photos” link at the top of the page to start your search.. If you are  searching for your surf photos from the  North End contact matt vaughan matt@nosarashack.com to find his new online daily photo gallery.

Enjoy your Tuesday and try to do something nice for someone other than yourself at least once during it….

thanks for all of the support! ~g
